Well it’s that time of year folks! Fall, then Winter.. that means Cooler temps, baking and comfort food. Ok, well now you know where my mind is! But back to it.. we are seeing changes in nail colors and art. They go from lighter and brighter, to dark and bold.
Today I’m going to talk about nails for the changing seasons!
Some of the must have color combos for fall/winter are dark plum and gold, burgundy with gold, and black with gold. I think it’s the dark color with a splash of gold that really gets me. A favorite of mine is the Glitter ombré nails. They are so easy, you can do them at home! Check it out:
-Start by polishing nails using a base coat first, (gel base coat if using gel polish) then 2 coats of lacquer or gel polish, cure gel between coats.
-If using gel polish, cure, but DONT wipe off tacky layer. If using regular polish, wait till second coat is just tacky.
-Next, using an eyeshadow brush, (or similar) dip brush in glitter, (any kind will do) and tap the brush to sprinkle the glitter onto the tip of nail.
-If you don’t have an eyeshadow brush, you can carefully tap the glitter from the container. Use a steady hand or you’ll end up with more than you want on your nail.
-carefully press the glitter on the top of your nail for smoothness.
-Finally, apply top coat. (You may need more then 1 top coat) and cleanse nails.
